Marina Rates

Situated directly on both the Alsea Bay and the Alsea River, McKinley’s is surrounded by the finest Dungeness crabbing anywhere. Recreational crabbing can be done year-round. Whether you rent one of our well-equipped crab boats or bring your own to our launch ramp (RV Park guests only), you’ll catch loads of the most delicious crabs in the world!

Crab Boat Rentals

Friendly instruction provided —boat operation, safety, setting/retrieving rings, and how to identify legal crab (only males, and they must meet size requirements).

Every rental includes:
  • 3 slip-ring style crab rings (no escape!)
  • Bait for all 3 rings
  • Crab measuring tool
  • Life jackets for children & adults (required for all renters)
  • Standard 3-hour rental (depending on the tide, extended rental time is occasionally available for an additional fee. Extra time must be pre-arranged with the office staff and marina staff before departing in the crab boat)
  • Need more gear? Extra crab rings may be available for rent by pre-arrangement and based on availability. Just ask at the office when booking your boat.
Crab boat rentals are available by pre-arrangement only. 

Please call or stop by the office ahead of time to reserve your boat. Rentals are especially popular during weekends and peak crabbing season, so booking early is the best way to guarantee your spot.

Rental times vary daily based on the tides — check with the office for the best launch times.

Boat capacity: up to 4 adults or 650 lbs total. Children are always welcome and we’ll make sure they are fitted with the right-sized life jacket before heading out.

Crab Cleaning & Cooking

  • Free Crab Cleaning Station – All crabs must be cleaned before cooking.
  • Cooking (for a small fee) – We’ll cook your crabs fresh on-site for the best taste possible!

Nothing beats enjoying a crab feast minutes after you’ve pulled them from the bay.
